A New Era in Affordable Housing: Investing for Impact in Sustainable Communities, Hosted by NeighborWorks America
NeighborWorks® is hosting a symposium, "A New Era in Affordable Housing: Investing for Impact in Sustainable Communities," Wednesday, August 18, 2010 in Philadelphia, PA. The invitation-only symposium will bring together leaders from the fields of impact investment, sustainable community design, and affordable housing to explore how to expand resources for affordable housing in sustainable communities. The goal is to both build bridges between these fields and create the opportunity for new insights on how to make housing more attractive to triple bottom line investors.
Approximately 250 national and local leaders will attend, including government officials, nonprofit and for profit developers, and investors. NeighborWorks is coordinating with Harvard’s Joint Center for Housing Studies, the Global Impact Investors Network, and The Congress for New Urbanism.
SVT Group will present the results of an SROI analysis of Affordable Housing, and the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank will be publishing a report this fall on the nexus of impact investing and housing and will include content and observations from this symposium and other meetings they have been hosting.
